Why you should buy your ticket on Hotel Giulietta Romeo.

Highlights

A delicious 2-hour food tour will take you through the streets of Verona to discover the local cuisine and culture. Our tour guide, born and raised in Verona, will accompany you through the historic center of the city, stopping in the historic shops and the most delicious places.

Our first stop will be at Gastronomia Doc&Dop to taste a selection of Sicilian salamis, cheeses and vegetable patés. For cheese lovers, we will offer a selection of Monte Veronese, a semi-hard cheese produced in the local hills with a distinctive flavor.

We will then move out of the city chaos to a local bakery to enjoy a selection of street food style pizzas and focaccias (salted oil bread). You will also stop at a local butcher.

After a short walk through the picturesque streets of Verona, we will stop at the Redoro olive oil mill. The climate of Lake Garda is ideal for growing olives, so you will enjoy a bruschetta with this liquid gold and two pates.

At a local chocolatier, we will taste some old-style pistachio sweets, the traditional sbrisolona cake and some Lessinia biscuits.

Verona is famous for its Valpolicella wines. We will taste its classic and a white wine already known to the Romans, the Soave. You will learn the tricks of the sommeliers to taste the aromas of the wine.

As we stroll through the historic center of Verona, our guides will share stories and insights into the history and culture of the city, making this food tour an unforgettable experience for all participants. The final stop will be at the family shop that produces and sells Pandoro, Verona's most famous dessert.
